How I met your Mother premiere

This show is ..wait for it...awesome! I finally got to see the first ep of this season and I really liked it. I think the best part of it was when Ted and his fiance were talking about their first somethings and he mentioned first and all time favorite movie was Star Wars and she didn't even see it.

I thought it was funny that I reacted the exact same way as Ted (wtf!?). Even funnier that his buddy was explaining that if she didn't like the movie, that would be bad for their relationship (when he's sad, he watches star wars, when he's sick he watches star wars, when its xmas, he watches star wars, sound familiar? coz it should). So then I look at my list of favorite movies and I think what Lyn likes too:

From my facebook: Star Wars, Matrix, all Pixar Movies except Cars, Batman Begins, Hook, ID4, 40 yr Old Virgin, My Sassy Girl

Lucky me, Lyn owns most of that list minus sassy girl, 40 yr old, and ID4. But, she quotes 40 yr old or at least knows when I'm talking about it. As for the star wars thing, its obviously my fav movie of all time but does she love it? Well, she can recite most of the music, knows some fun facts like George Lucas came up with the idea for AT-STs from Oakland bay bridge area, can quote the movies, went w/ me to see ep3 twice...twice! (one was opening night), went w/ me to see Clone Wars in the theater (despite the bad reviews), thinks my star wars collection is cool, and it is, and has even dressed up as Leia once for halloween.

If I were Ted on the show, I too would be high-fiving my ultra geeky 16 yr old self through the space time continuum. oh yea!

I dunno...

Eh, I dunno. I stopped playing months ago and I've been doing well without it. An extra $15/month back in my pocket feels good, the 10-15 hours/week back in my life feels good, but the expansion looks insane =P I think what I'll do is if everyone else picks it up, I'll play for a bit and see where it goes. The best part of playing an MMO is playing w/ friends, without them its really not the same.

Perfect Birthday gift

The crazy star wars fanatic that I am, I held off on buying the prequels solely for this reason, and it comes out on my birthday! how awesome is that

10 years later and I think I can squeze more

This is a response to my last post:

So after thinking about this much more carefully, weighing the pros and cons (maybe i should post that too) I decided that I'll just save the money and wait to get my next car. With saving up for a new house, my car coming back to me in good condition, I really have no need for a new ride, it was more of just to want. Sure I like the blue color, the nice leather seats, very awesome touchscreen and gps the prius would give me, but that can wait. I'll just spend a bit on restoring my car and fixing those stupid dents and it'll feel like new again.

Plus, with each new year, we get even better models, car models, not women although that would be awesome too.

2010 Honda Insight, very pretty huh? Honda's new hybrid model that will compete with the popular Prius. Oh yea, I hear the next Prius will have some type of solar sun roof. Thats sick.

So as for now, I'll just save my money, the Banana Mobile is still strong =)

Pro:

Nice and want to have
Blue color, easier to clean than black.
Fuel Efficient with gas prices going up,
Save money there, plus wont have to fill up often.
1 tank will take me from sf to oc.
4 door and automatic- good for family and lyn to drive.
Back trunk makes it suv like
GPS and touchscreen w/ voice
Leather seats and fog lights
Since its new, its safer to drive and reliable.
Affordable w/ current salary.
With good credit standing, apr should be low.
While Lyn’s dad’s friend works at Toyota, I can get a discount. May not be there in the future.
I avg 27-30 mpg on civic, prius avgs 42

Con:
Hybrid is expensive for full options at 27-29k
Can still use civic for 5+ years if I wanted
Would have to spend money (up to $500/month)
Might affect mortgage payments or savings if Dad doesn’t help.
Selling car at 140k miles – 200k miles makes no price diff
Also won’t be getting much money for civic
No Major maintenance needed, brake pads + rotor recently replaced $240
Est. Insurance will go up from 67- 140 since car is financed instead of bought.
Est: 467.25/ month for financing the car for 60 months at 6% apr

10 years later and its about time

Brakes are dead, gonna have to repair em. Makes me realize I've had my civic for 10 years already and all the beating I've put it through Im suprised the brakes didnt give out sooner =P

I spoke with my parents, lyn, my sister and everyone agreed that I should think about getting a new one. Especially since my car was given to me, I've never bought one on my own and it'd be nice to own something pretty haha.

I realize that saving up for a house would make buying a car a dumb idea but thanks to the new job and my dad helping out with the downpayment for the house, i should be good to go. Plus I think I'll be selling my civic, too bad it doesn't go for much >=(

Cars I'm thinking of buying.

1. Prius
2.

yea, I don't know what else I like honestly. Everything else kinda blows except the civic again, but why would I purchase the same car. I'll test drive this weekend and see what I think about the happy little hybrid and see if the hype is worth it.

Mike's top 5 reasons for working out in the morning

1. No waiting
- Impossible during the week 5-8pm. Plus I get out of there in an hour flat.

2. No one there
- You only get the hardcore people in the morning, which means those idiots that come in to show off and talk out loud aren't there.

3. More time
- I have way more time now in my busy schedule to do something else instead of trying to rush my workout in before a practice.

4. No one to stop me
- Sometimes when I go workout after work, things can come up and I'll have to skip a day, which really sucks. Who's going to call me up at 6am to do stuff?

5. No girls
- Yup, as hot as they are in their outfits, no distractions and less talky more lifty.

Another Awesome Weekend

Had Tryouts again for DSP. Probably the funnest time I've had in a while dancing. Must be the vibe I got plus all of the new people trying out this season. It was awesome to hear I got better from some peeps, they said I lost weight too which is cool but I like hearing that my dancing got better instead hehe =P

Im hoping we get quite a few of them honestly, I feel that some of these dancers would add something to the team that we can all share and learn from instead of us just building a dancer from the ground up. With all of this going on, I feel I should take advantage of all of these performances and battles coming up and really take charge..
